It’s disappointing to see a wave of recent 1-star reviews that are clearly fake and defamatory. These reviews attempt to slander a small, family-run business that has been proudly serving the community with great food and service for over 10 years. As an employee, I can confidently clarify a few things: 1. We do not have cockroaches in our food. The photo posted was not taken at our restaurant — any regular customer can tell that it doesn’t even resemble any of our menu items. 2. None of our employees are 30–40-year-old men. Our front-team consists of myself (age 20), my father (60), and a female staff member (also 20). 3. We treat our customers with respect. While there is always room for improvement, we absolutely do not engage in behavior like throwing food at customers — that’s simply false. We genuinely welcome fair and honest feedback, because it helps us grow. But when four 1-star reviews appear in a single day, all with broken grammar and false claims, it becomes clear they’re not credible. We’ve reported these to Google, but unfortunately, it seems they’re taking these outrageous accusations at face value — rather than recognizing that sometimes, people are just being malicious. We have never requested to take down any negative reviews as we believe in transparency and free speech, but this is false and unacceptable, if anyone sees this please help report the previous wave of negative reviews.

Discovered this restaurant as we were walking by it. Opened the funky, orange door and we were greeted with two tiers of seating and a number of pasta and pizza options. We tried one pizza and one pasta. The pasta was served al dente and with fresh ingredients. The pizza had a thick crust, but was very light and airy. The food quality was much better than I thought it would be and I encourage anyone to give it a visit. I also liked the pay at the counter, before you eat service.

The BEST homemade pasta, pizza, and sandwiches you can find in Downtown Toronto! What puts this place above the rest is the consistency, love and care found in every dish made. Joseph and Henny are truly lovely people and their whole team provide excellent service to go along with excellent food. I have been coming here since I moved into the area 3 years ago so trust me when I say, it is well worth your time. Keep up the good work guys :)

Pizza, pasta..... uniquely Italian eatery in the heart of downtown Toronto not far away from City Hall and Eaton Centre. The food we ordered is really delicious. Their Nero pasta (black pasta) is unique. It is not black inked noodle but a black noodle so the black ink doesn’t melt in your mouth. The sunny egg & braised beef pizza is super delicious. The place also serves beer, wine to complement the Italian dishes.

The place to be if you would like fresh pasta. The people who work here are very nice and accommodating. I got the Funghi Pasta and the portion size is very generous. It was served quickly as well. It was a delightful meal. Will definitely try other things from the menu. Thank you!

I’ve seen some of the recent negative and fake reviews, that I felt compelled to share my experience, because it’s been nothing short of amazing every single time. Great food, friendly staff, and consistent quality. My experiences have always been positive, as Tosto never disappoints. Highly recommend giving it a try for yourself!

Wonderful service, fast and friendly. Delicious pizza, nice crisp crust and the perfect amount of cheese and toppings. Got the ‘share’ size and was good for two for lunch. They accommodated our request to swap one topping for another, this is the spinach and ricotta pizza, but traded spinach for peppers. Clean space and you put your dishes away. Wasn’t busy on a Friday at lunch time, but it should be because it was affordable and delicious! 100% recommend for casual delicious pizza!
